If you had been part of the Klondike gold rush but had restricted your searches to one-ounce nuggets, you would likely have been on the bread line in a matter of weeks.
Successful prospectors would have filtered out, and collected grains of gold as well as larger nuggets.
Ideas are the source of inspiration for all businesses. New ideas may make the difference between success and failure. Using the Klondike analogy, they are the nuggets that drive innovation and success.
Which is why seeking out new ideas is one of the key elements of business success.
Fortunately, there is an abundance of material to sift through:
- your Inbox for example;
- other experienced entrepreneurs that may no longer be competitors, but would be a willing mentor; or
- a professional adviser.
