Summer Bank Holiday 26 August 2019

The above dates are the official bank holiday dates for the next eighteen months. Perhaps time to start planning those weekend breaks you have promised yourself, but never quite managed to organise?

For those of us with a keen interest in keeping away from crowded roads and airports at these times, the dates could be an excuse to catch up with gardening chores or dare we suggest a spot of DIY?

And there’s another alternative. If you can take time off when most other folks are working, why not work Bank Holiday days? Staff are out, no phone calls. A time for catching up: emptying your Inbox, dealing with outstanding correspondence, or maybe get together with your partners, if you have any, to brainstorm practice development issues?

After the recent spell of fine weather, it’s good to plan for time away from the office as well as time spent at the office. Bank Holidays would seem to offer choices in both directions.
