Two announcements were made on the Gov.uk website last week. Both related to the progress of the delayed Finance Bill that started life in parliament March 2017, and was promptly truncated to accommodate the May 2017 election. The delayed provisions were reintroduced September 2017 and are now wending their way through the parliamentary processes.
Practitioners who want to keep in the loop can view progress at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/finance-bill-no2-2017 .The devil is always in the detail, and this link will take you to the source.
In three weeks’ time, we will have another Finance Bill to contend with, and off we go again. Much speculation, as always, as to the content, but speculation seems like a fruitless endeavour; best wait for the fine print.
