Ironically, at a time when progress and resolution are far from certainties, there has never been a more urgent need to keep your clients informed. Uncertainties are powerful and negative drivers and should be kept at bay.
This week, our news updates for practitioners’ clients and prospects continue to advise on what will happen rather than what may happen. In our opinion, it is the business owners that get on with the job in hand, that will prosper as we drift through this period of political and economic hiatus. In some respects, this offers opportunity, as many less focused business owners will take their eye off the ball to watch and endlessly speculate on outcomes over which they have no direct control.
We should be projecting what our politicians have been unable to provide, dare we use the “words”, strong and stable leadership? Clients will already be reasoning the downside and upside risks of Brexit and the hung parliament, and they will continue to rely on your advice to check out their change of course, if this is required; have they considered all the downside risks, and if not, what are they?
In our opinion, communication is a key aspect of the work we need to do in the coming weeks. Take a look at the tools we offer at Informanagement. The temptation to engage with the never ending speculation on social media will be all consuming, but it is incumbent upon us to keep at least one eye, firmly ahead.
Give me a shout if you would like to find out more.
