There is no point in badgering clients with too much information, but there are well-proven benefits to reassurance.
At this time of the year, approaching 5 April 2017, you will no doubt be working with clients to ensure that their tax position for 2016-17 has been reviewed and any necessary planning steps are in place – 2016-17 is a given – we know the legislation that applies and how best to organise clients’ affairs.
But come 8 March 2017, a new set of provisions will be offered up in the Finance Bill 2017, and this is a perfect opportunity to remind clients that you are watching their back. One way to do this is to send out an easy to read summary of any changes in the Budget.
In my opinion, this is a simple and effective way to keep your firm established as an effective adviser. Even if what you send is not read from front to back, it will remind clients, and prospects if you keep them in the loop, that you are keeping an eye on tax changes, and more importantly, on how these changes will affect their tax position.
At Informanagement, we will be offering two possible solutions that you may want to take a look at: a branded tax card, and a more comprehensive tax book, both updated for 2017-18.
I believe that familiarity, if focussed on client’s needs, is one of the best ways to keep clients reassured, reminding them that you are keeping up-to-date and on the look-out for changes that offer opportunities that will save them tax.
Contact me to request your FREE copy of our annual tax book and I will be more than happy to pop one in the post.
If you would like me to show you what my company can offer, call any time at the office on 08452 722377 or 07968 849335.
Until next time….
